Dr. Copeland is an international recognized expert in CFD-driven design optimization. He led a large research team at the University of Bath in the UK where he established an internationally recognized hot-flow laboratory. At the School of Sustainable Energy Engineering, SFU, Dr. Copeland has recently established the T-FORCE (Thermo-Fluids Optimization Research for Clean Energy) group which will support this exciting research program. Dr. Copeland is an authority in fluid modelling with particular focus on low-order CFD models coupled to machine learning and optimization algorithms.
