Marty has spent the last fifteen years in the clean energy industry working to make solar and now hydrogen the lowest cost, most economic and sustainable choice globally. As CEO of Verdagy, a green hydrogen advanced alkaline water electrolyzer company based in California, Marty and team are seeking to fundamentally change the way industrial-scale hydrogen is produced in order to massively decarbonize the most difficult sectors of our global economy.

Marty’s other work includes co-founding Nuvosil A.S., an Oslo and Silicon Valley based company that is focused on low energy solid state remanufacturing of metals waste to valuable end-market industrial applications. Marty previously held the position of COO of SunPower, where he led distributed operations across four continents, supplying over 30 countries with solar energy product solutions. He currently serves on the Board of Ballard Power Systems, a leading global provider of clean energy fuel cell solutions. In 2017, Marty received the Hutchens Medal in recognition for his achievements and leadership in social responsibility and societal change.
