Ryan Harty is Assistant Vice President and Division Lead of the Sustainability Development Division of the Sustainability & Business Development Business Unit at American Honda Motor Co., Inc., (AHM). He is responsible for the strategy and business execution for Honda's Triple Action to Zero initiatives of 100% carbon neutral products and operations, 100% clean energy use throughout the value chain, and 100% use of recycled and sustainable materials by 2050. Ryan graduated from University of Alberta in 2001 with a degree in mechanical engineering and joined Honda R&D, working first in vehicle body design and then in zero emission vehicle research and development. In 2011 he joined American Honda to focus on business and technology development to accelerate the market adoption of zero emission vehicles and environmental sustainability. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and coaching the sport of curling at the Orange County Curling Club.
