Angelique Besnard serves as a Stakeholder Engagement Specialist for the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs) Program and the H2Hubs Demand-side Initiative in the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Clean Energy Demonstration (OCED). Previously, she worked for Tesla, Inc. on their Federal Policy Team, working with consultants on provisions of the Build Back Better Act, while developing a background in federal tax credits and subsidies for clean technologies. She has also interned for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in the External Affairs Division, helping with congressional affairs and media relations. Angelique began her career in government interning for Congressman Lou Correa (CA-46). In the past, Angelique also worked for Global Energy Monitor, a non-governmental organization which catalogs fossil fuel and renewable energy projects worldwide, working on their Renewables Tracker. Angelique holds a Bachelor of Science in International Politics from Georgetown University, where she also played Division 1 Softball. Angelique is originally from Orange County, CA and currently lives in Washington, DC.
